Summary statistics for means and deviations are shown for each period considered. For 1953 to 2019, there are three sets of statistics, marked “a”, “b” and “c”.

For “a”, the mean and SD are benchmarked to the whole period (also for 1953-2018).

For “b”, the random numbers are compiled using a simplified twin regime approach between 1953-1984 and 1985-2019, with the mean and SD then benchmarked to the whole period 1953-2019. The mean and SD had been separately benchmarked to each sub-period before the twin-regime process was applied.

For “c”, the random numbers are the same as “b”, with no further benchmarking.
